Classroom application

The main part of everyday school life takes place within classrooms. The basic preconditions for fatigue-free work and successful learning are a very good quality of light coupled with illuminance levels according to prevalent standards. Classrooms exist either with fixed seating arrangements aligned towards the panel or blackboard, or with variable seating arrangements designed for adaptable lesson concepts. Good lighting caters individually for such demands and is characterised by a high level of flexibility. The level of daylight within the classroom is optimally used in terms of energy with a lighting management system. As such, luminaire rows can be dimmed according to levels of daylight and automatically switched on and off via a presence detector to ensure a high level of energy efficiency.

Panel lighting
It all happens up front: the panel or blackboard must be equally visible from all seats. Shadows and light reflections are to be avoided. Wallwashers with asymmetric light distribution guarantee vertical illuminance levels according to standards with very good, uniform light distribution. Such a lighting system should be separately switchable for presentations and multimedia use in the front area of the classroom.
