Skating Rinks
Skating Rinks represent very high demands on the quality of lighting and its uniformity. For this reason only reflector luminaires and floodlights with metal halide lamps are used.
The luminaires are equipped with an adequately high shielding to ensure that the spectator's view is not inhibited by glare.
When luninaire spacing approximates the lamp mounting height, a high uniformity of illuminace is assured. At least 6m is a benchmark for the mounting height. In most cases, lighting systems can be switsched with multiple circuits, allowing lower lighting levels suitable for training purposes.
