Mirrortec®
A further possibility to achieve high levels of illuminance without glare over large surfaces is the Siteco Mirrortec® secondary reflector system.
The functionality is as clever as it is simple: the light of a projector is focused on a facetted reflector. The concave reflector surfaces reflect the light towards the target surface free of glare.
How is that possible? The reflector breaks down the light, according to the number of its facets, into single points of light. A lot of small light points produce less glare than one big one. In this way secondary reflector systems achieve maximal glare suppression.
The use of secondary reflector sytsems should be supplemented with wallwashers for vertical surface illumination within the visual area. These take care of the biologically effective lighting components.
