Highlight at the Creek: the Tower of the National Bank of Dubai
From the very beginnings Dubai was a place of meeting: bedouins from the depths of the desert met with pearl divers, and traders from the town with seafaring fishermen. Today, Dubai is one of the world's most modern business capitals.
One of the most spectacular buildings is the headquarters of the National Bank of Dubai with its fascinating combination of glass and high-polish specular steel. The curved façade glitteringly reflects the constantly changing colours of the creek, a natural estuary that pushes its way through the arabian metropolis.
Two rotosymmetrical distribution Siteco R2 MAXI projectors with side-mounted Osram HQI-TS 1000W lamps illuminate each of the towering façades and the bank's logo with a high degree of uniformity.
The National Bank of Dubai was founded in 1963 and has repeatedly been distinguished with awards - Global Finance magazine named the bank 'the Best Bank in the United Arab Emirates', and JP Morgan Chase awarded the bank the Elite Quality Recognition award eight times.
