Glare free lighting for culture aficionados

The Slovene Ethnographic was founded in 1923. A museum with collections of national and European significance testifying particularly to the traditional culture in territories inhabited by Slovenes as well as to everyday life. It is also a museum with some equally important collections originating outside Europe. In 1997, the Slovene Ethnographic Museum has moved to the first renovated building, situated in the southern part of the complex. The museum building was renovated between 1996 and 1997. In summer 2002 the construction and the renovation process of the museum exhibition building has started and has been completed in autumn 2004.

The new complex of the Slovene Ethnographic Museum foresees two buildings i.e. the administration and the exhibition building and the basement storage space for the museum collections, and an exciting outside museum park assigned for different events. 2000 sq.m. of storage capacities in the basement, modern museum infrastructure in the ground-floor. 2664 sq.m. of exhibition space for the permanent exhibition and others.

Within the exhibition spaces Siteco Quadrature® modules, mounted on rails, produce high levels of illumination without glare. Their extremely flat form, discreet colouring in metallic grey and transparent materials give the luminaires a modern, weightless appearance. Thanks to ELDACON® technology, the exhibits can be placed as necessary. Siteco Louvre Luminaires for continuous mounting provide additional appealing lighting effect.
