Premium research hums in Siteco light

An old tobacco storage building, the former Tekel Cibali Cigarette factory, was renovated as the university of Kadir Has. The original arch shaped carcase was protected in the ground level which is used as museum. The general lighting was made by Siteco Lunis R downlights. The combination of a simple, formal design and the use of such manufacturing materials give the ambience a discreet but qualitative appeal, without being intrusive. To underline the structure of the building, the colors and lighting appear to be soft and smooth. At the foot of the stone columns, there’s an indirect  light band in order to rupture the materials coming from the past and the materials of today.

Kadir Has University (KHU) was founded in 1997, in Istanbul, by the Kadir Has Educational Foundation and the Turkish Cardiology Foundation. The university is dedicated to becoming a leader in educational and cultural fields in Turkey, as well as establishing itself as an international center for research and scientific development.
