Planned Open-Air Shopping
In Izmir-Balcova, West Turkey, one of the first and therefore one of the
most prestigious projects of the Tesco Kipa Group was created, an operator of shopping centres, car parks and petrol stations. The intention was to use the lighting as a tool to add to the ambience of the site as a place for meeting and communication.
With the planned deployment of the SW-Disc 2 outdoor luminaires within the indoor space, an area with enourmous depth and height was created. Glare-free Mirrortec technology, allowing daylight-like light at all times of the day underlined this aspect. The visitor gains the feeling that he is outdoors. The result: a relexed atmosphere for shopping with an open-air feeling.
A further highlight is the skeleton-like roof construction with integrated R1-Mini projectors, stretching the spacial size even further to give the impression of depth. Further flexibility is attained with highly specular aluminium reflectors with rotosymmetrical light distribution in varying rotation angles.
In the sales area, the modular DUS trunking system was chosen. This allowed a maximum degree of flexibility when designing the interior of the space.
On both sides of the entrance area SW-Disc 2 outdoor luminaires have been implemented, also with Mirrortec secondary reflector technology. The attractiveness of the sales area is heightened and a collection point that can be seen from afar is created for potential visitors.
