Siteco Mirrortec enlightens visitors of new shopping center
The new shopping mall Amfi Voss is the largest in the norwegian town of Voss. A new residential neighbourhood that has grown much in recent years and needed a commercial centre to meet the increasing demands of a growing customer base. The shoppingcenter Amfi Voss is at the same time a centre of attraction for visitors and shoppers.
The architects of Bergen based bureau Arkitektkontoret Waage AS did create a building that contains about 25 stores and interconnecting, enclosed walkways. One inner courtyard underneath the big cupola roof made mainly of glas is illuminated by daylight as well by Siteco Mirrortec luminaires.
The bright light there serves as a contrast to the surroundings and is intended to attract people. Eight Siteco Sicompact R1 together with two large reflectors underneath the cupola roof create a bright daylight atmosphere that lends itself to the spacial needs of an atrium. The secondary reflector elements are installed maintainance-free on the cupola.
Central point of the lighting solution is the control of daylight and light as a supplement to daylight. During the evening and at night, the secondary reflector system forms an adequate substitute for daylight and gives the atrium like inner courtyard a bright and inviting ambience.
