Guarantee for LED Components used in Siteco Luminaries

Guarantee Period

For products with a life expectancy ≥ 50.000 operating hours Siteco offers a guarantee with time limit of 5 Years and under the terms mentioned below.

This guarantee includes only LED modules, LED controllers and other LED components which are built-in in luminaries for which the technical documentation addresses a life expectancy ≥ 50.000 operating hours.

For products with a life expectancy < 50.000 operating hours Siteco offers a guarantee with time limit of 3 Years and under the terms mentioned below.

This guarantee includes only LED modules, LED controllers and other LED components which are built-in in luminaries for which the technical documentation addresses a life expectancy < 50.000 operating hours.

The guarantee period starts with the date of installation, but latest 3 moths after delivery from Siteco’s warehouse.

Terms of Guarantee

This guarantee is valid under the following terms and conditions:

  • The products are used in accordance with the technical specifications, product information and instruction for installation.
  • The products are registered within 3 months after installation with Siteco’s easy-to-do registration procedure.
  • The product is not subject of any mechanical applied load outside the specification.
  • Maintenance tasks, which may be necessary according to the technical specifications, product information and instruction for installation, are documented.
  • Limitations for temperature and voltage are respected.
  • This guarantee only covers failure of product caused by material defects or engineering defects or manufacturing defects.
  • This guarantee only covers the mortality rate higher than 0.2 % per 1,000 operating hour of life expectancy. A loss of luminous flux up to 0.6% per 1,000 operating hour is normal and does not constitute a claim.
  • In case of replacement of LED modules deviation of light characteristics is possible due to the individual technical use of the luminaries and the technical progress in LED technology.
  • Life expectancy will be reached if the products are used in accordance with the technical specifications, product information and instruction for installation.
  • This guarantee is valid for all deliveries after July, 1 2010, but not for luminaries for tunnel lighting.

 This guarantee will not apply if any technical modifications are made without written consent by Siteco.

Guarantee Performance

In cases of product failure under the above mentioned terms of guarantee Siteco will repair the defect components or credit the defect components or replace the product.

Additional costs (e.g. demounting, freight for defect components or luminaries, disposal, mounting, ride time, tools for lifting and scaffolding) or other costs coming from a breakdown of installation or costs in relation with consequential damage are not subject of this guarantee.

Siteco will honour this guarantee as long as the guarantee period for the first delivery of the product is not expired.

Siteco will gain the ownership of all products or components passed back to Siteco under this guarantee.

Assert of Claims

The guarantee under the above mentioned terms and performance can be claimed by everybody being in ownership of the LED luminaries and the related sales documents, if the products are installed in a country of the European Community or in Turkey, Croatia, Macedonia or in Switzerland or Norway.

The claim has to be directed immediately after a product failure is found in written letter and with information of the registration number to

Siteco reserves the right to verify whether the claim is according to the provisions of this guarantee.
 
This guarantee will not limit the contractual or legal rights of a buyer which can be exercised against his supplier or a manufacturer.
