The tradition of light
As a leading company that has more than 150 years of history, Siteco has defined lighting technology. Today the brand of Siteco combines technological ideas with service mentality and a feeling for what is possible. The company was founded in 1949 as the household appliance and lighting sector of Siemens-Electrogeräte GmbH with headquarters in Traunreut, Germany.

Since the spin-off from Siemens and the foundation of the Siteco brand in 1997, the company has developed to become one of the leading manufacturers of technical indoor and outdoor lighting which is employing approximately 1,250 people across the world. Subject to approval by the antitrust authorities, the Siemens subsidiary Osram will be the new owners of Siteco from the summer of 2011.

From road and town square lighting to airport and stadium lighting – the outdoor luminaires range offers lighting solutions for every possible outdoor requirement.
In the area of indoor lighting, Siteco convinces with design oriented and innovative products for the lighting of office and industrial buildings as well as public buildings, shopping centres and many others.

Non–stop innovation
The extensive knowledge, curiosity and creativity of the Siteco experts enables the company to develop new technologies and innovative lighting tools for a wide variety of indoor and outdoor applications.
This takes place in close cooperation with customers and other lighting professionals as well as under consideration of both economic and environmental factors. The needs of people within their architectural surroundings represent the focus of lighting concepts. The result is lighting solutions in the application areas of office, industry, traffic, shopping, public and sports – in fact everywhere where people need good light and luminaires as tools for creativity.

When it comes to important innovations in the lighting sector, Siteco has always been at the forefront, whether with specular louvre luminaires, the Eldacon microprismatic structure, Siteco Mirrortec secondary reflector technology or LED technology. Today Siteco offers an interesting spectrum of LED solutions for indoor and outdoor applications, ranging from LED refurbishment kits for dependable luminaire housings to completely new design approaches with LED technology, such as the Streetlight 10 LED.

Experience light
Since the beginning of 2008, with the new Technology and Design Center (TDC) in Traunreut Siteco offers a unique exhibition centre for lighting innovations and a suitable location for the exchange of information and expertise. The TDC presents itself as a think tank and architectonic stage for the development and presentation of new products, technologies and lighting concepts, and is also a forum and campus for seminars and training events for customers and lighting professionals.
