When Siteco brought the first ever trunking system to market 30 years ago, the lighting of interior spaces for industrial and commercial uses was revolutionised. Siteco is once again first mover: with Modario, Siteco presents the new trunking generation at the light+building with more performance and more comfort. With the motto 'more light for your money', the system platform promises a maximum degree of energy efficiency coupled with a flexibility and an ease of mounting and maintenance that can hardly be bettered. No-Compromise Energy Efficiency
Siteco Modario combines energy efficiency with economy. And more: it promises to be the most economic trunking system ever, with efficient lighting technology, extremely simple mounting without tools and high maintenance intervals. The aim was to design an economic trunking system that for the first time has been optimised for the T16 fluorescent lamp spectrum. T16 lamps are known as a technically and economically optimal light source with a high level of lumen output and high light output ratios. Additionally, Modario is equipped with Multipower technology as standard. That means that the luminaire can be operated with lamps of differing wattages and so can react at all times to changes of room use. A greater level of planning safety is offered (with respect to the european 2002/91/EG standard) due to the possibility of various wattages and an energy-saving lamp technology.
The core of the system consists of the trunking rail, luminaire insert and reflector. According to the motto 'less is more', the modules make an impact with their fili-grane, slimline design. Modario's minimalised construction looks good in sophisti-cated surroundings as well and lends spaces an additional quality. The rotatable rail connectors are a world's first and can be used to position the luminaire modules in 15 degree steps. That creates more flexibility: with a flick of the wrist a downlight can be created from an uplight and a wallwasher from a ceilingwasher.
Comfort Without Compromise
Maximum flexibility is assured even with building refurbishment or new lighting re-quirements with the tried and tested 299mm module size - trunking rail and luminaire insert with a module size of 299mm can be positioned at random, meaning that the complicated calculating of luminaire distances and cutting of rail lengths is not nec-essary. The optional 10-core wiring of the trunking rail allows for the integration of lighting control functions and emergency supply, or alternatively the operation via two separate power supplies.
Even though lighting solutions often greatly vary, with Modario they all have one characteristic in common: an extremely high level of comfort in terms of installation and maintenance. Multi-length trunking rail units with pre-mounted connectors and click-connectors for tool-free installation further increase the level of comfort.
Luminaire inserts and optical accessories are mounted quickly and easily with rotary catches. With X, T and L node connectors, the trunking system always goes in the right direction.
Harmonious Light
Optical solutions with a variety of reflectors (e.g. for wide, narrow, extremely narrow and asymmetrical beam distribution), design variations with High Definition Prismat-ics reflectors (HDP) as well as Power Modules with prismatic optics and a particu-larly high level of light output guarantee the perfect solution for different room de-ployments and situations.
Siteco has developed High Definition Primatics (HDP) for spaces with high demands for direct glare restriction. The lamp is surrounded by a 'v' shaped prismatic reflector with prisms calculated to exactly restrict glare. The lateral and longitudinal glare restriction of the HDP technology (UGR <= 19) creates a homogenous brightness and optimal lit conditions for meetings and communication. As well as for office areas, HDP luminaires are suited for deployments in communications areas, workshops, libraries, catering areas, waiting zones, classrooms and lecture halls.
Healthy light for an increased sense of well-being
A further innovation is the Power Module with prism optics specially developed for the new trunking system. The Power Module does not only create a uniform, strong brightness but also aims to match the quality of daylight. High levels of illuminance (up to 2000 lux) are directed with reduced glare back into the room and serve to increase the sense of well-being and the level of productivity at workstations. Vertical illuminance levels improve viewing comfort and concentration especially in halls with windowless zones or in assembly plants with night-shifts, where the inner biological clock of workers must be adapted to night-time working conditions. For halls with
especially high ceilings the Power Module with two wing-like light sails has been designed; the light sails render the indirect light component visible and redirect it back into the space.
Manifold Uses In Manufacturing And Sales
A high level of trunking rail flexibility and a wide choice of optical variations means that Modario is the ideal solution for every type of interior and every type of activity.
An assembly plant can be illuminated as well as a warehouse, a foreman's office or a control room. The Power Module with high levels of illuminance and glare-reducing prism optics is especially suitable for industrial deployments. Extremely narrow distribution reflectors are used on the other hand for the lighting of high bays.
As well as for industrial surroundings, Modario is ideally suited for use within sales areas, for example for the lighting of supermarkets, discounters and shopping centres. Modario gives large-area sales rooms a uniform brightness with a simultaneous accentuation of goods via the integration of track inserts. Rotatable trunking rail connectors create even more flexibility, e.g. for the lighting of shelves. The variation with HDP prism technology is suitable for cash till areas.
