With the Arena Zagreb, the capital city of Croatia has gained a new multifunctional sports complex that accommodates approximately 15,000 spectators. All lighting solutions both for indoors and outdoors come from Siteco.
The arena was recently the venue for the Handball World Championships 2009, and hosts many other competitive sports (e.g. basketball, ice hockey, volleyball etc.) as well offering an ideal platform for events such as concerts and trade fairs.
The facade of the multifunctional sports arena is illuminated with bright, inviting light with the aid of SiPlast luminaires equipped with energy-efficient T16 technology, and the access area and plateau surrounding the arena are equipped with secondary mast luminaires with Siteco Mirrortec technology (four Siteco Mirrortec projectors and two reflectors per mast system) to show visitors the way.
The sports field lighting within was implemented with asymmetrical SiCompact A2 Maxi projectors and 96 rotosymmetrical SiCompact R3 high efficiency projectors (1000 watt).
Thanks to excellent surface illumination, extremely good colour rendition and optimal glare protection, the R3 Maxi offers maximal light comfort for athletes and spectators and fulfils the Fifa guidelines for colour television compatible lighting. At the same time, the projector convinces with its high level of energy efficiency and cost effectiveness. A sophisticated thermal management guarantees optimal cooling of the luminaire, increasing its service life. The R3 thus meets increased demands for performance, light quality and efficiency required for stadium illumination.
Various ancillary areas af the sports complex have also been equipped with Siteco luminaires. DUS trunking systems, downlights, Siteco louvre luminaires and Monsun damp-proof luminaires were installed. |
