Litepole

FEATURES

The level of urban appeal and quality of life is determined by individual well-being. Lighting plays a major part in this. Litepole scores with timeless simplicity, high visual comfort, unique optical guidance and a linear design reminiscent of a pillar.
The glare-free, directed light distribution is generated via a precisely matched combination of high performance LED arrays, 3-zone faceted reflectors and clear luminaire enclosures. A frosted luminaire cover is also available as standard for an even more uniform appearance. The LED Module features symmetric wide, asymmetric wide or extremely wide light distribution and is optionally available in colour temperatures 3000K (warm white) or 4000K (neutral white). An accessory also enables the generation of colour temperature ~2000K (amber).
The LED Module is equipped with microprocessor-controlled LED operating electronics. This makes available a series of functions. These have been combined into three performance packages: Basic, Plus and Premium. All make use of the outstanding property of LED light sources in reducing luminous flux without loss. These values are either factory-set (Basic variant), can be individually set with the Siteco® Service Box (Plus variant) or centrally set via Street Light Control (Premium variant). The Plus and Premium versions offer the widest spectrum of efficient control of LED luminaires according to requirements.
All optical components and electrical inserts can be interchanged, enabling spares inventory and the rapid, maintenance-friendly replacement of single components, and greater flexibility with design.

SPECIAL FEATURES

  • diverse range of applications due to timeless design reminiscent of a pillar, suitable mast and wall brackets, especially suitable as a replacement for globe installations – in combination with decorative brackets
  • Designing with colour: The module is available as standard in grey (DB 702S) and white (RAL 9016 matt). both the module and luminaire housing are available in all RAL and AKZO colours on request
  • Light for any ambience: the luminaire is available as standard with clear or frosted cover. the luminaire cover can also be supplied with individually designed printing/graphics on request
  • light colours: warm white (3000K) or neutral white (4000K)
  • symmetric wide, asymmetric wide or asymmetric extremely wide light distribution
  • high level of visual comfort thanks to glare reduction via optional light dispersing element (spreader) for reduction of luminance
  • orange-coloured light with amber light colour (~2000K) for illuminating conflict zones, designing with light, protecting the environment, lower light pollution and as a replacement for luminaires with sodium vapour lamps (spreader-amber)
  • efficient physical and electronic thermal management for high product service life: 100,000h L80B10 @ 25°C
  • especially installation-friendly with self-centering mast mounting element (one-point mast connection)
  • ECG, gear tray and LED unit can be exchanged separately
  • extremely weather-resistant coating in Siteco® metallic grey (DB 702S) with high IP65 tightness

FUNCTIONS

According to version, the luminaires are equipped with differing functionality ranges for light management and monitoring:
All versions with temperature monitoring for protection of LEDs from thermal overload
Basic performance package:
Luminous flux reduction via 230V control voltage | no luminous flux constancy
Plus performance package with electronic type plate:
Luminous flux constancy over complete service life | integrated, programmable timer for reduction of luminous flux in two steps | settable luminous flux for max. operation and for both reduction levels | all parameters can be set with the Service Box | on request: can be integrated via SDI into existing digital control systems and controlled from a central control point | alternative luminous flux reduction via 230V control voltage
Premium performance package with electronic type plate:
Street Light Control: for individual monitoring and control of the luminaire from a central control point from any distance via LON PowerLine without supplementary control wire (instead of SDI) | further functional range like Plus version.

Luminaire can be operated with factory pre-setting. The pre-setting with the Plus and Premium versions can be modified with the mounted and dismantled luminaire

Electronic type plate: special component of Plus and Premium performance packages, saving type information, system-specific configuration and operating/performance data. Automatically configures newly installed LED units or ECGs

LIGHTING TECHNOLOGY

Diverse optic system consists of precisely matched combination of high-performance LED arrays and extremely precise 3-zone faceted reflectors
The high luminance of the LEDs is dispersed and converted by the system to softly distributed light for highly uniform, standard-compliant illumination with flowing contrast transitions and significantly reduced glare.
The conical-shaped module body reflects a precisely defined light component to create a luminous cone. This gives the luminaire an attractive nocturnal appearance to provide outstanding visual guidance without causing glare.
The LED Module 540 operates most efficiently with luminaires with a clear cover
Enables precisely modified light distribution characteristics for typical applications
Supplementary amber light colour (~2000K) via optional light spreader element (spreader-amber) for colour-emphasised conflict zones along roads, for the positive appearance of brick and sandstone facades and as a good alternative for refurbishing existing systems using high and low pressure sodium vapour lamps
Reflective corpus as decorative element and for visual guiding; corpus of LED module according to version white or Siteco® metallic grey (DB 702S)

ELECTRICAL

Cover opened without tools | LED module and all electric components as removable unit
Basic performance package: LED module with 3-pole connection terminal, max. 2.5mm² (2-pole for mains supply + 1-pole for 230V control voltage for power reduction) | control signal: USt= 230V --> 100% luminous flux, USt= 0V --> approx. 50% luminous flux
Plus performance package: LED module with 5-pole connection terminal, max. 2.5mm² (2-pole for mains supply + 1-pole for 230V control voltage for power reduction + 2-pole for Siteco® Digital Interface (SDI))
Premium performance package: LED module with 2-pole connection terminal, max. 2.5mm² (control and monitoring of the luminaire from a central control point without supplementary control wires; data transmission according to standardised LON protocol)

HOUSING

Self-centering mast mounting element of diecast aluminium; canopy element of aluminium; housing and canopy with weather-resistant coating in Siteco® metallic grey (DB 702S); cover of impact-resistant, UV-stabilised PMMA, transparent | protection rating: IP54 | insulation class: II

APPLICATION AREAS

  • service roads, pedestrian or cycle paths, parks:

Asymmetric extremely wide light distribution (P1.0a)

  • ancillary roads and service roads, residential areas:

Asymmetric wide light distribution (ST1.2a)

  • urban areas and squares, pedestrian zones and shopping streets

Symmetric wide light distribution (PL1.2s)

  • possible luminaire spacing up to 30m

Rapid advances in LED technology lead to permanent improvements in energy efficiency. This has the consequence that the luminous flux or power consumption may change accordingly. The current values can be found in the photometric report of each product and in the current download files of the lighting planning data.
