The matrix sensor from SITECO precisely detects people from a height of up to 5 meters and enables targeted control through individually definable detection zones. It reliably distinguishes between people and objects, works in compliance with the GDPR without image data and outperforms conventional PIR sensors - ideal for smart, data protection-compliant lighting solutions in industry.
What are the benefits for the customer?
Increasing the energy-saving potential and service life of the luminaires, as unnecessary switching caused by e.g. machines or moving objects is prevented.
By specifically avoiding unnecessary switching operations, considerable energy savings can be achieved. At the same time, the range of applications is significantly extended, offering the customer greater flexibility in use. The system is also ideal for use in production environments with grid floors.

Definition of the detection area
By specifically defining the detection area, unnecessary switching can be avoided, the service life of the luminaires can be increased and the area of application can be flexibly adapted -
No environmental influence
The matrix sensor is insensitive to environmental influences such as cold or warm draughts and vibrations. Note: At least 2 lux is required at the lens for reliable operation. -
High presence detection
In contrast to PIR sensors, which are limited to a mounting height of up to 3.5 m, the matrix sensor reliably detects presence - regardless of height. No movement is required.
