Background:

KMF’s UK-based Precision Sheet Metal facility provides 255,000 sq ft of manufacturing space and operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The facility houses state-of-the-art equipment, and its sheet metal fabrication services are designed to minimise risk, add value, and ensure efficient supply chain continuity.

The plant includes industry-leading technology such as cutting and folding equipment, panel benders, and powder coating plant. Dedicated facilities are also available for stainless steel manufacturing and electro-mechanical integration.

Ashley Gaunt, Site Maintenance Electrician at KMF, described the lighting conditions prior to the new installation as poor, with numerous dark spots and widespread shadows that were inadequate for operational needs. Health and safety concerns were also raised, highlighting the risks created by insufficient lighting in areas where machinery was in constant motion.
